John is a streetwise Londoner and he is being hassled by his good friend 'Jock' Lawrence, an associate who hails from Glasgow. Lawrence is in some distress as it would appear his wife has absconded for an illicit liaison with whom Lawrence believes is their local milkman. In some anger and dismay he has called John in the middle of the night and has now turned up in person to seek his English chum's advice and possibly violent intervention to resolve matters.
